Nomads Sign England U23 International for 2017/18 Season 🔥

We are very pleased to announce (pretty ga$$ed actually) that Ollie Bell has officially transferred back to his home club of Nomads. Approved this evening, Ollie is now once again registered solely with us!

In the last few years he has been making the most of his dual registration alongside Cambridge University, where he has recently graduated. (Fun Fact: it was Ollie’s dad, Andy Bell, who put forward the idea of dual registration between a home club and university team). Now returning to London full-time, we can’t wait to see Ollie back at Epsom College.

Ollie Bell started his korfballing career as a Nomads U9, playing alongside other Nomads’ juniors such as his brother, Alex and Bex Humphries (who was taller than him once). Before setting off to Peterhouse, Cambridge, Ollie was a regular for the Nomads 1st team as well as representing the England U19s.

At university, the brain (and guns, thanks to some why-are-you-not-playing-korfball rowing) got bigger, but he still had time to win all four Oxford v. Cambridge Varsity matches, as well as play at every BUCS Nationals, and represent the GB Student team and the England U23s. Ollie has also been awarded an Extraordinary Full Blue by the Cambridge Committee, which is an award earned by athletes for competition at the highest level in their respective sport.

Ollie has said ‘I am really excited to be home at Nomads and I look forward to playing with my old teammates as well as going forward together with new ones.’

Welcome back baby(bel).
