We’re delighted to confirm that Neala Brenan continues with us for the season ahead as our National League and London Regional League squad coach. As one of the strongest female players in the country, Neala’s coaching lifts standards, builds confidence and pushes players across the club to raise their game.

“She makes our players see what they can be rather than what they are”

We’re recruiting! You don’t need to be the finished article (though if you are, you’re very welcome!!).

We’re keen to hear from elite sports people / players (Korfball, Netball, Basketball etc.) who want to push themselves in a high-performance, mixed-sex team environment AND committed players looking to develop and compete through our lower teams …this is a great year to join us!!

Message from Junior Coach Claire: What a day! 🔆

Sunday Cheam was once again home to a full day of korfball fun as we hosted a fantastic tournament with a record number of teams taking part. The atmosphere was friendly, social and full of energy, with players, families and supporters all helping to create such a brilliant vibe. Thank you to everyone who came along to play, support, cheer and make the tournament so special.

We are so proud of all our players across every age group. They showed determination, resilience, ever-improving skills and fantastic teamwork throughout the day — riding the highs and lows together and giving it everything on the pitch.

In the U9 competition, both of our teams finished on equal points behind winners Bromley, showing just how much talent we have within this group. With two such strong and evenly matched Nomads teams, it ultimately came down to goal difference in the matches where they played each other — with Nomads Black claiming the silver medals. 🥈

A huge thank you also goes to our *brilliant team managers — Millie, Tracey, Hollie, Emma E and Emma S — who were absolutely invaluable throughout the day. Thanks as well to all of our supporters who cheered, encouraged, consoled and helped make it such a positive experience for our youngsters.

It was also wonderful to welcome back players who haven’t been able to train with us recently due to other commitments and sports clashes. Zach, Kasper, Alexandra, Ralphie and Matteo — it was SO good to have you back, and you all made a huge contribution.

Special mentions too for Jamie, our newest and youngest player, who had a brilliant debut and came away with a medal; Annabelle and Piper, who played every match and gave their all; Joseph, who went from strength to strength as the day went on; and Elliot, who had a fantastic tournament with so many goals before sadly picking up an injury in the final seconds of the last match — we all hope you recover soon!

Entries are now open for the largest Summer tournament in the South.

The deadline for entries is June 7th, with newly staggered fees for advance payment (saving £10 per team by end May).

We welcome senior individuals (we'll allocate you to a team) and senior/junior teams of all levels: beginner, student, mixed teams/groups of friends, as well as of course club teams.

As usual, we will have the BBQ on the go from brekkie, and the bar will be open for teas/coffees and cold soft drinks/beers... alongside the infamous tombola and our fundraising bucket lottery. AND in a tournament-first we'll also have a special - fruit-throwing competition (Chairman Sam's @forkorfsake interview has led to this weirdness!!). So put your chosen piece of fruit and some £1 coins in your kit bag!!

Nomads2 working their way up the table as their games in hand finally come to fruition. A strong win against Highbury2, with 10 goals coming from Aiden and Poppy.

Nomads1 put us all through the ringer ending finally on the wrong side of a close 21-22 catch-up, having led the opening period of the game. 9 goals from Libby and Ellis.

Special mention to Hettie and Leila who loved every moment, cheering the team on from the bench! If supporting won games, we'd be top of the league!!

After a disappointing result at the weekend, Nomads1 were determined to show they should not be underestimated, and put on a fabulous midweek performance for the supporters, to go from a 13 goals loss *sigh, to a narrow 3 goal loss in the space of just a few days. 5 goals from Ellis and 4 goals from Amy worthy of a mention, but the Bell tappety tap combo 😂 wowed the crowd for sure. But ultimately Bec pushed through with some beautiful edge of court shooting and a fair few penalties and free throws.

Nomads3 had a tough match against the strong league leaders Bec 2, and now need to pick up some points in this second half of the season.

Nomads4 turned over a 3 goal deficit to beat Croydon3 by one in the closing minutes of the game, pushing them up into second place in their league.

A tough battle for the firsts to kick off the New Year before training has even returned, with both sides matched evenly throughout. An exhausting workout for the supporters 😂

Well done also to the fourths, beating Croydon 3. Especially to Kasper in his first senior game 👏🏼
